In a moment natural beauty can be captured by a electronic device. This portrait of Katarina was taken in the fall, on a windy, mild October afternoon. The way the sun lit up her eyes, and the natural sunlight shone on her face while the wind provides natural movement in the photograph makes for a successful portrait. The sharp focus of the photograph creates a distinct focal point in addition to the sunlight shining on the stairs making a diagonal in the photograph leading your eye to the subject. I really enjoy the way her clothing creates such a beautiful contrast against the concrete background, as well as the vibrance of the red and blue on her shirt against her dark features. This photograph is neither posed, nor unnaturally edited, it is truly a smile caught in a moment under the most natural of atmospheres, the sunlight.
